Apr 24, 2017. Oddometer: 1,557. Location: Wellington, Ohio. Hey guys, I'm eyeballing a 2006 KTM 950 Adventure . Searched the forums and have read reviews that range from "Rock hard reliable" and "run for your life". I love the look of the bike and the off-road ability.

I've got 3300 miles or so on my 05 950S and I get around 33 to 36 mpg in town and 42 to 45 mpg on the freeway (I'll let you do the conversion). That means I get the low fuel light between about 140 and 190 miles. After my initial service I was getting 28 - 30 mpg. hello i bought a ktm 950 smr, and i have very high fuel consumptionit is about 10 liters on 100km. Adventure Rider. and i have very high fuel consumption
KTM 200 Duke (29) KTM 950 Adventure (29) 1. 1050 Adventure (4) 1090 Adventure R (21) 1190 Adventure (37) Get an accurate view of your vehicles fuel economy;
Here's my take: Pros: 1: quick starting cold or hot. 2: stable idle cold or hot. 3: improved mileage. 4: improved emissions. 5: automatic mixture adjustment for temperature and altitude. 6: vertically mounted throttle body would allow use of an under-saddle fuel tank (lower CG like the 650 Dakar))
INCREASED FUEL ECONOMY. Although substantially more powerful and equipped more comprehensively, the 1190 Adventure consumes about 20 per cent less fuel than its equally heavy predecessor (230 kg fully tanked, despite a smaller fuel tank). Together with an impressive 23-litre tank capacity, the range is suitable for desert use.
